History
Antiquity and Foundation (800 B.C. – 300 A.D.):
The origins of Scarlino are lost in the meanders of time, dating back to the Etruscan period. Founded around the 8th century BC, the city has flourished due to its strategic location on the coast, becoming an important commercial center.
The Roman Age (300 A.D. – 500 A.D.):
